This beautifully designed Montessori mat helps children explore the four seasons while celebrating the passage of time.

In the center, a symbolic sun represents the Earth's orbit, with each of the four sections showing a different season: spring, summer, fall, and winter. 

The Four Seasons Celebration Mat is also perfect for birthday celebrations. Children walk around the sun with a globe, symbolizing their journey around the Earth, counting the number of circles based on their age. The Clock Cards Exercise introduces the concept of time.

Time is presented as 4 segments: the whole hour, a quarter past the hour, half past the hour and a quarter to the hour.

The faces and labels are printed in 4 colors for coding and separating the exercises.

Includes: 48 face cards (5" x 3½"), 48 label cards (3½" x 1¼"), and 2 clear plastic boxes.

At some point it's time to learn to read and understand the clock, which can be displayed both analogue and digitally. This doesn't exactly make things easier with the hours and minutes. So it's good to have a simple learning aid to help the previously "aimless" child. This help is provided by the goki teaching clock set consisting of a wooden clock with a traditional dial and wooden hands and the time templates on which times are shown in analogue and digital form.
