In order to maintain the child’s interest in reading in a purposeful way Maria Montessori introduced grammar at the phonetic reading stage. Each time a new part of speech is introduced it is done through playing a lively game with children.
Our unique Phonetic Farm Game includes:
Miniature objects whose names are phonetic: pig, man, duck, dog, cat, piglet. Heading black card (3½” x 1 ½”) with Noun written on it. Six small black cards (3” x 1 ½”) with the name of each object.
Six small red cards (3” x 1 ½”) which have matching phonetic verbs. Heading red card (3½” x 1 ½”) with Verb written on it.
Six small blue cards (3” x 1 ½”) which have matching phonetic adjectives. Heading blue card (3½” x 1 ½”) with Adjective written on it.
Six small white cards (3” x 1 ½”) with article The. Heading white card (3½” x 1 ½”) with Article written on it.
One large clear plastic box (4 ½” x 3 ½” x 1 ½” ) for objects. Four small clear plastic boxes (3 ½” x 2 ½” x 1 ½”) for cards.
One black plastic tray (11” x 7 ½”).
Each object is professionally sculpted and finely hand painted. Replica size is between 1.5” and 3” in height. All cards are laminated.
